About The Artist
My name is Taylor Woodworth. I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1992 and have been making glass in my hometown since September 2014. I have always been interested in art my whole life, so when my friend built his own home studio and invited me to try glassblowing for my first time, I was instantly hooked. I still own the first thing I’d ever made on the torch, a small green pendant. Since that day, I began submersing myself in the culture and industry and learning as much as I could. This art form is different than any medium I have ever worked with in the past. The possibilities seem endless, there’s always more I can learn.
After my first two years on the torch, I began taking classes from other well established artists from around the nation. These classes include Darby Holm, Eusheen, Banjo, Salt, Certo, Rye, Jerome Baker, Taffy, JDZ, and Sap. The knowledge I have learned from each of these artists has been an incredible stepping stone to get where I am today and I couldn’t have done it without their guidance. Much of my inspiration comes from the nature around me and the traveling I have experienced. I enjoy sculpting, finding interesting color combinations, and making things that nobody has seen before.
I sell most of my work through social media outlets such as Snapchat and Instagram. I love posting progress videos to show my followers an inside look at how I make my glass art. It gives the audience an interesting view of my work to see exactly what goes into the products they are purchasing. I also post a lot about my personal life to give my followers an idea of who I am, so come follow my social media to get to know me better!
